KIYO STUDIOS IS HITTING PAUSE

If you’ve been a fan of Kiyo Studios and their anime-inspired apparel, there’s some big news you should know.

After receiving a copyright infringement notice from VIZ Media, Kiyo initially planned to retire a few specific collections (Naruto, JJK, Death Note, JoJo’s, and Hunter x Hunter). But it's now clear that any unlicensed anime-inspired product could be at risk.

To avoid permanent shutdown, Kiyo Studios has made the difficult decision to retire all of their current designs.

Here's what that means:

This is a major shift—but not the end.

Kiyo is taking a step back to figure out how to move forward the right way. That includes exploring official licensing deals and showing up at conventions and expos to connect with fans in person.

This chapter is closing, but it’s clear that Cole and the Kiyo team are dedicated to rebuilding with the same creativity and anime love that made the brand so special in the first place.

If you’ve ever thought about grabbing a Kiyo piece—now’s your last chance.
