THE ANTI-WEEB FASHION SCALE
I've been using this behind the scenes for a while. Every brand I recommend, every piece I cover, it's all been filtered through a system I built to cut through the noise. Starting this week, I'm making it public.
What it is: A 6-category scoring system that gives every anime fashion piece a final score out of 10. No vibes-based recommendations. No vague "this is fire" with zero receipts.
The 6 categories:
Quality — Fabric, construction, will it survive more than 3 washes?
Subtlety — Can you wear this without explaining it to everyone in the room?
Versatility — How many real outfits can you build around this?
Design — Is this actually fashion-forward, or just a character slapped on a blank tee?
Value — Is the price justified by what you're getting?
Community — Does the brand actually treat its customers with respect?
Why I'm sharing it now: Because you deserve to know the standard I'm holding these brands to. A piece can have beautiful fabric and a trash community score, and I'll tell you both. No brand gets a pass just because the collab is exciting.
How it works in the newsletter: Every featured find going forward gets scored. I'll break down each category so you can see exactly where a piece earns its rating, and where it falls short.
